Double Rig Hauler Collison Results in Diesel Fuel Spill

A black Nissan Maxima crashed into a  double rig dirt hauler  in the south bound lanes of  Brea Boulevard at around 7 a.m.   this Friday morning causing diesel fuel to spill  after  the truck’s tank  ruptured. The car and truck collision occurred right at the intersection of Brea and  Bastanchury Road and shut that area of the roadway down.

Investigators on the scene will more than likely look into various reasons for the truck and car crash, especially if a death or traumatic permanent injury resulted.  One of the primary causes that authorities often exam is driver intoxication.  Distraction is yet another consideration that will be weighed.  If all else checks out the possibility  of vehicular malfunction due to faulty auto  parts could be a possibility.  All these determining factors could help accident victims analyze the situation to see if they can pursue litigation and receive financial compensation for their injuries.  This is important since ensuing medical costs can threaten a collision survivor’s livelihood and savings.

Man Hit by Truck While Sleeping in Park

A 32-year-old Anaheim man was struck by a Park and Recreations pickup while sleeping under a tree in Modjeska Park. The collision occurred around 11:45 a.m. after a maintenance worker cut across the grass to head towards a trash can.  The driver of the truck  said he “felt something” and stopped  the  vehicle to investigate.  It was then that he realized that he had run over a man who had been snoozing under a tree. Investigators are looking into the pedestrian accident to see if there was any way the driver could have avoided hitting the Anaheim resident.  The struck man was alert and did not seem to be seriously harmed in the incident but was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Hopefully, the medical staff will find nothing wrong with the victim.  If tests indicate he is fine, he can count himself    individual.  As so often happens, a truck accident where a pedestrian or any individual on foot is struck  could result in life altering injury or death.  When that occurs, the accident victim   can file a personal injury lawsuit against the negligent party.

Governor Bans Semi’s after Fatal Crash Angeles Crest Highway

Governor Schwarzenegger signed a bill into law today that banned big rigs and semi trucks from a portion of Angeles Crest Highway.  The move came five months after a runaway truck lost its brakes on a steep incline,  hurtled down the road an crashed into several cars  as well as a bookstore in La Canada Flintridge.  A father and daughter were killed and 12 others were injured.  A temporary ban on the semis was imposed but after data was collected that indicated a large number of these types of accidents occur on a regular basis on Angeles Crest, lawmakers moved to make the ban permanent.

Doubling the tragedies of the lives lost on Angeles Crest Highway is the fact that  defective auto parts are to blame for many.  Truck maker have to do build vehicles with the commercial trucks demanding needs in mind.  This means making sure the truck has brakes that will work as promised.   Far too often, automakers forgo safety in an effort to cut costs.

This is why family members who have lost loved ones can take the matter to court via product liability laws. Such a lawsuit holds automakers’ accountable when someone dies or is injured because their products cease to function properly.  If a loved one has died because of a manufacturer’s negligence, contact us  at  888.222.8286 to speak with a reputable wrongful death lawyer. Fiery Big Rig Crash on 57 Causes Lanes to Close

Chapman Avenue was shut down this morning after a fiery big rig collision that left the truck driver dead and four other motorists wounded. The tragic trucking accident occurred at 7 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-57 near Chapman and Cal State Fullerton.  The semi had been carrying a load of meat products when it crossed southbound lanes; hit the center divider ended up in the northbound lane.  There, the truck hit a car and caught on fire. The occupants of the other vehicle, which carried four teens or young adults, were taken to a local area hospital with injuries.

The victim’s name has not been released but he did die on the scene.  Both directions of the 57 were shut down for several hours as the CHP tired to clean up the wreckage.

The legal implications of such a devastating accident are immense and multifaceted.  For example, the injured teens or young adults could file personal injury lawsuit against the trucker’s company if the accident resulted from company negligence, like the use of faulty truck parts or an improperly trained driver.  On the other hand, family members of the deceased may also be able to sue the company under wrongful death litigation for financial damages if the above is true as well.  Have you or a loved one been involved in a similar accident.? Then Contact us today to see what your options are and obtain the financial compensation you need to move on.

Truck Flies Over the Freeway; Lands on Street

A white, older model pick truck went over the side of the 55 freeway this afternoon according the CHP reports.  The solo truck accident occurred at around 1:52 p.m., but at the point of the report, did not have a verifiable cause. Witnesses indicated that the pickup truck had been traveling in the carpool lane of the 55 when it veered and suddenly hit the center divider.  The vehicle then went airborne, flipped and wound up on Dyer.  The unidentified pick up truck driver had to be cut from his truck via the Jaws of Life. Roughly 10 to 15 cars pulled onto the right shoulder of highway  to look, slowing traffic.

Indeed, an accident of this type must have been quite a spectacle, but he poor man trapped in his truck was probably terrified.  Upon his visit to the hospital, he probably learned he was seriously injured to boot.  What’s more, he may be confused as to how the accident occurred, especially if the wreck was proceeded by a malfunction of some sort.  Needless to say, if the truck accident was caused by a defective auto part, the individual could be entitled to damages.

Sometimes a solo accident is not the fault of the driver—it is the fault of a car manufacturer who places faulty brakes, shoddy electrical of a untrustworthy engine in the vehicle.  When this occurs, lives can put at risk.  If you or a loved one has been injured because of an automakers disregard for safety, contact our expert product liability lawyers.  They will help you understand your rights via a free legal consultation and help you recover the financial damages you need after a crippling car crash.
