Ortega Highway Re-Opened after a Car Fire that Injured 3 People

An Ortega Highway car crash resulted in  three serious injuries, with one hurt motorist being airlifted via helicopter to a local area hospital. The motorist and passengers were the apparent victims of a solo car accident that ended in a car fire.  Although the car fire itself was doused quickly, all three passengers inside the car reported personal injury but only one was airlifted to a medical center.  The collision occurred 11 miles east of the I-5 and was reported around 12:05 p.m. Traffic on Ortega was shut down until 1:40 P.M.

As with all solo automobile wrecks the assumption will be that the driver did something  to cause the accident themselves.  While this is certainly true a good portion of the time, there are other issues, like faulty car parts, that can  cause a solo car wreck as well. A thorough investigation can pinpoint the the cause.  If  the collision turns out to be due to an auto defect, injuries parties can sue the automaker via a product liability claim.

If you were involved in a solo car accident and find that defective auto parts is the cause, contact  Slaughter and Slaughter for a free consultation.  Our product liability attorneys understand the finer points of  product litigation and can make sure you receive the money you deserve for  your injury, pain and suffering.  Call today and learn what your rights are after a debilitating accident caused by an auto defect.

An early morning two-vehicle accident in Santa Ana left one motorist injured as the other auto driver  fled the scene.  The accident transpired Friday morning around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Bear Street and Segestrom Avenues.   Eyewitnesses indicated that a silver Dodge minivan was traveling northbound on Bear when it collided with a white Oldsmobile that was traveling eastbound on Segestrom.  The minivan rolled over on its side trapping a 59-year-old man and a 17-year-old passenger inside.  The Oldsmobile driver leapt out of his car and fled on foot. Civil tort legislation was enacted for the purpose of enabling individuals to recover financial reparation in legal situations where another personal negligently caused damage  to person or property.   It served a dual purpose  – to punish the guilty and to make sure victims received some kind of restitution for their incurred injuries or losses.

One infamous civil case involved former football pro  O.J. For this very reason, it pays to locate a qualified personal injury lawyer who understands the various ins and outs of civil tort law.  Not only can an expert personal injury or wrongful death attorney obtain the money you need to stave off potential financial devastation, they can become something of a personal advocate who fights diligently for your rights.

Car Smashes into McDonald’s in Anaheim — 2 Injured

An SUV slammed into a McDonald’s in Anaheim today causing injury to a small child and an infant.  The unfortunate incident occurred after a 77-year-old woman   backed her Saturn Vue into the side door of the restaurant at around 11:18 am. The McDonald’s, which is located at 740 North Euclid was open for business and while many patrons remained unscathed a young child and baby were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after the event.

Investigators believe that the woman may have been pulling out of the handicapped parking spot across from the side door.  The SUV driver complained of pain shortly after the accident.  The woman’s SUV had to be pulled out of the wrecked McDonald’s by a tow truck.

This accident could have been so much worse and the children’s injuries far more severe.  If that has been the case, the children’s parents could possibly pursue the SUV driver  via a personal injury lawsuit.  They could then sue for damages as they related to their kid’s accident related medical costs.  When someone hurts you or a valued family member in a car accident of any kind, you do have rights.  Contact the personal injury lawyers at Slaughter and Slaughter today for a free case review and  see what you can do after someone else’s negligence’s causes debilitating pain and injury.
