Motorist Taken to Hospital after Glass Falls into her Eyes

A driver was taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning after glass fell into her eyes.  The incident occurred  while the woman was driving northbound on I-5 just South of Camino Capistrino.  Authorities are still uncertain as to what actually happened, but they believe something fell out of a truck or moving vehicles and injured the female motorist.  The woman, who had been driving a gray BMW sedan,  was taken to San Clemente Hospital for evaluation.  Officers on the scene indicate that the injuries were minor and vowed to get to the bottom of what transpired.

Ortega Highway Re-Opened after a Car Fire that Injured 3 People

An Ortega Highway car crash resulted in  three serious injuries, with one hurt motorist being airlifted via helicopter to a local area hospital. The motorist and passengers were the apparent victims of a solo car accident that ended in a car fire.  Although the car fire itself was doused quickly, all three passengers inside the car reported personal injury but only one was airlifted to a medical center.  The collision occurred 11 miles east of the I-5 and was reported around 12:05 p.m. Traffic on Ortega was shut down until 1:40 P.M.

Motor Home and Van Collide, 2 Injured

Anaheim authorities  responded to  an automobile accident on Harbor Boulevard near the I-5 northbound ramp this week. The crash involved a motorhome and van and resulted in two women being injured and taken to the hospital.  Policemen and firefighters were called to the scene and arrived at 11:27 a.m.  where they found that  a Dodge van had collided with a massive Ford mobile home that  was towing a Jeep Rubicon.  The Dodge had major damage on the driver side although the motor home appeared unharmed.  The women in the Dodge Van were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Car Strikes Pedestrian Crossing Busy Street

An 80-year-old man was struck by a car in Anaheim this evening, blocking traffic at Brookhurst Street and Ball Road.  The accident occurred just after 9 a.m. when a black Acura hit the elderly gentleman as he was crossing the street.  According to eye witnesses, the man had made it halfway across Brookhust walking west at roughly 100 years north of the intersection when he was hit. The elderly gentleman was not in a crosswalk when he was run down by the Acura.  The pedestrian was taken to UCI Medical Center but the extent of his injuries are not currently known.
