Person Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash

A three-car collision on the connector between the northbound I-5 freeway to the northbound I-405 slowed traffic Friday morning. One person was injured in the multi-vehicle crash, which blocked traffic on the connector for almost forty minutes, authorities said. Officer Gabe Montoya of the California Highway Patrol said the crash was first reported at around 7:30 in the morning. Officer Ruben Warren of the CHP said traffic was slowing to a halt while one vehicle’s driver was changing lanes to the right. The driver was looking over her shoulder when she hit a green Honda in front of her.

Nine Vehicles Collide on Freeway

Nine vehicles were involved in traffic collisions Friday morning on the southbound 5 freeway at Red Hill Avenue, causing debris to fall all over the freeway. CHP officers said there was so much debris that multiple lanes had to be closed. The CHP received a report just before 6 a.m. that a tan Nissan Maxima and a second vehicle had collided and were on the right shoulder. CHP officers said that later reports indicated that at least three other vehicles were involved, and a second report of another multi-vehicle crash came later that morning.
