One Killed In Huntington Beach Teen “Car Surfing” Accident

A teen killed in a car accident yesterday was reportedly riding atop his car, something commonly known as car surfing or ghost riding, according to reports. The male teen, identified as Hernandez,17, fell from the car as he was riding in Huntington Beach, suffering serious head and stomach injuries. Hernandez was unsecured while riding on top of the car as it progressed eastbound on Brannen drive, driven by another boy, 17.The car involved in the accident was a 2006 Nissan Altima. The teen was transported to UCI Medical Center after the accident in critical condition. He died later into the night at 2:50 pm.

Until now, no arrests have been made and no one was cited. Authorities are reporting that the two teens, about to be high school seniors, were near a party which they may have attended. However, much ambiguity remains regarding the accident.

Motorcyclist Killed In Huntington Beach Motorcycle Accident

A motorcyclist was killed on Friday after hitting a car in the Huntington beach motorcycle accident, authorities said. The motorcyclist, Mark Hampton Montgomery of Sunset beach, was injured severely and died later as a result of his injuries. The 59-year old motorcyclist was headed westbound on Garfield Avenue when he was hit by a four-door sedan traveling the opposite way.

Police reported to the scene of the Huntington beach motorcycle accident at around 5:20 pm. Montgomery was escorted to Huntington Beach Hospital, but was injuries ended up fatal and Montgomery was pronounced dead at 5:510 pm. said officials from the coroner’s office. Montgomery was equipped with a helmet at the time of the accident.

Teenage Boy Dies In Car Accident During Road Rage Fight

A teenager was killed by a car after falling in front of the vehicle, an event which occurred as a result of a fight instigated by road rage. Joel Edwardo Sanchez, a 17-year-old boy from Los Angeles, was pronounced dead on Friday after falling victim in the car accident in Huntington Beach. The accident that occurred before 7 pm on Friday was located on Beach Boulevard just south of Slater Avenue.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the Los Angeles teenager became involved in an inter-vehicle fight after road rage spurred a confrontation. The vehicles pulled to the side of Beach Boulevard where the fight ensued, involving Sanchez and occupants of two other vehicles. According to reports, Sanchez most likely fell into the passing car as the result of being punched or pushed, which placed in him in the path of the vehicle.

Huntington Beach authorities arrived at the scene of the fight after a 7:01, at which time Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Investigation continues regarding the cause of both the road rage fight and accident. As of now, no arrests have been made.
