A woman who rammed through a glass window yesterday morning fortunately left the crash uninjured. The overturned truck crash that shut down Freeway 57 in Fullerton on July 23 also killed one person. The truck crash, involving a big rig and a much smaller car, occurred at 7 pm near Chapman and Cal State of Fullerton. The big rig truck was traveling south bound on 57 when it collided with car, then bouncing into the adjacent lanes until it struck the divider, where it finally stopped but ignited into flames. The driver of the big rig truck was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident, which also hospitalized four others with injuries. Following the crash, traffic was detoured as the accident was handled by authorities. The cause of the crash remains unknown.

A man in California has taken on the description of a hero after saving a girl from a burning vehicle. The man, McDonald of West Covina, drove down Interstate 10 near Los Angeles when he noticed a flaming vehicle situated on the side of the road. McDonald approached the vehicle as three people, its driver and two others, fled from the accident. When the driver shouted that another person remained in the vehicle, her three year old granddaughter, McDonald ran to the vehicle and came to her rescue. According to California Highway Patrol, both McDonald and the three year old girl were treated for minor burn injuries. California Highway Patrol is in the process of investigating the crash and the resulting fire.

The victim of a San Bernardino county crash, who has now been identified as an Escondido man, died in the car accident the took place at 2:15 am on Interstate 15. Erick Lee Haukaas was driving northbound on Interstate 15 when his car drove off the roadway, overturning and ejecting him from the vehicle. Haukaas was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he was pronounced dead as a result of the injuries received in the car accident. A crash that took place near the Nevada State line killed a San Fernando Valley woman, aged 24, who was involved in the car accident on Monday afternoon. A big rig truck in Long Beach made its mark on a Long Beach cafe after crashing into the storefront, causing a major mess and property damage while also injuring the truck driver. Following the crash, the Long Beach Fire Department reported to the scene of the truck accident to find the truck already backed from the storefront. The 4.am dispatch from the Long Beach Fire Department also found that, other than the driver, no other people in the cafe were put at risk.
According to reports, the only person in the vicinity of the crash would have been the cashier who, fortunately, was not at the register when the crash occurred. The Long Beach fire department did search for possible injured under the wreckage, but no victims were found. Other patrons of the cafe were elsewhere in the building. The injured truck driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A pedestrian on a highway in Spring Valley who was killed last Friday has now been identified as 51-year old Patrick Edward Crowe. According to reports, Crowe was on the shoulder of Highway 94 when he lunged into oncoming traffic, in the incident which occurred at around 10:40 am. Crowe died at the scene of the crash. Investigation continues regarding the cause of the pedestrian accident and whether or not it was a suicide.
