Skateboarding Accident With Car Kills Preteen Boy in Los Angeles County

A boy, age 12, who was skateboarding  in Paramount, a city in Los Angeles County, was the unfortunate  victim of a fatal skateboarding accident this past week. The young boy has been identified as Isidro Diaz.

Apparently, Diaz was on the road, skateboarding on his stomach, when he was struck by a moving car. He was struck from behind, according to police. Although first aid was attempted, the boy unfortunately died at the scene of the accident.

A driver stopped and was questioned, but up until now, no one has been tickets have been given or arrests made. The skateboarding accident, taking  place on Rosecrans Avenue at approximately 9 pm, is being investigated further by authorities in Lakewood.

Multi-Car Accident In San Fernando Valley

A multi-car accident on a freeway in San Fernando Valley is reported to have injured seven, five of which were injured seriously. According to Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident included up to six cars on Independence Day morning. Los Angeles Police In 4-way car accident

Los Angeles police officers reporting to a call for backup faced a strange turn of events when they became involved in a 4-way car accident. As the police officers progressed down Crenshaw Boulevard near Freeway 10, the police officers hit another car on the road. The car accident occurred at around 2:50 a.m when the officers swerved into the median and then bounced back into another vehicle, initiating a chain of collisions with three other cars.

According to Los Angeles authorities, on injured person was taken to Kaiser Permanante in Los Angeles for treatment.

10-year-old In Critical Condition After Rollover Car Accident

A rollover car accident on Tuesday night has left a 10-year-old boy critically injured, authorities said.

At the time of the rollover car accident, the Baldwin Park 10-year-old boy was being driven by his brother, age 18, at a location near Ramona Parkway and Center Street. While in transit, their car was hit by another car driven byFrank Ramirez,  who made a left turn in front of the 18-year-old driver, forcing him to hit Ramirez’s car when the accident occurred at approximately 6 p.m on Tuesday.

The car containing the young brothers struck a tree after a rollover, but both the driver and passenger remained in the vehicle during the accident.  The 10-year-old boy sustained major head  injuries consistingof critical head trauma, which required his immediate transport to a local hospital by helicopter. The 18-year-old suffered serious injuries as well, and is also being treated at a local hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening like those of his younger brother.

According to police, neither driver possessed a driver’s licence at the time of the rollover car accident. California fog causes pile up and injuries in Los Angeles

Los Angeles fog proved dangerous this morning, as a 50 vehicle pile up occurred in the heavy fog on Interstate 15. The sizeable accident, which took place at approximately 7:30 AM near the summit of Cajon Pass, was also the site of many injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities occurred during the accident.

According to officials from California Highway Patrol, the car accident involved nearly 50 cars and trucks, as well as a motorcycle. The extent of the car accident stretched a half-mile down the northbound lanes of Interstate 15.

The majority of the injured were transported to local hospitals, but five others were sent away after treatment from on-site paramedics at the accident. As a result of the fog, paramedics were forced to use ambulances rather than helicopters despite the ruckus of the extensive pileup. No reports have been made concerning the extent of these injuries.

Police Chase Ends in Car Accident and Injuries

In pursuit of an alleged car thief, police engaged in a short chase which ended in a car accident and injuries for the suspect. During the police chase, the alleged car thief slammed into a wall while attempting to evade the police car.

The police chase was initiated around 1am, when a police officer attempted to stop the reportedly stolen car. When the driver refused to stop, the police officer initiated the chase. The police chase procceeded through Downey residential streets into an area near Cecelia Street and Clancey Avenue, where the alleged car thief slammed into a block wall after losing control of the vehicle .

The man, whose name has not been released, sustained injuries during the crash and was treated by paramedics before being taken into custody. California Highway Patrol officials reported that he was treated for minor head injuries.

Men Receive Injuries After Car Accident at Bar

Yesterday night, The Los Encino dance and cocktail bar, located on 4626 Firestone Blvd in Soutth Gate, was the site of a twisted turn of events. Two men who aimed to leave the bar ended up crashing back into it, in a car accident that resulted in injuries for both men. The car accident was reported at approximately 10:50 pm on Monday, at which time the Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the scene.

According to authorities, the driver lost control as he pulled out of the pakring lot, slamming the car into the building. Both men suffered minor injuiries, and were escorted to local hospitals after the crash. South Gate police are investigating the cause of the crash, and whether or not this may have been a case of drunk driving.

Fortunately, none of the South Gate bar’s occupants were reported as injured. However, the bar was closed immediately afterwards and will need repairs before reopening.

2 Deaths, 1 Injury Result after North Hollywood Car Accident

A car accident in North Hollywood took two lives and injured one, according to officials. Authorities say that a woman, driving a Toyota Scion, lost control near the intersection of Lankershim while traveling northbound on Vineyard. Evidence shows that the car accident probably involved the car hitting the utility pole and then a storefront. The female driver and male passenger both died on the scene, while a third victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The condition of his injuries has not been reported.

Sgt Aaron Ponce of the North Hollywood station describes the female driver as being ejected from the vehicle and then dying, as did the other female passenger sitting in the front seat. The surviving male passenger was located in the backseat during the accident. The cause of the accident is still unknown.

Crash leaves man in critical condition

A car accident that occurred on Sunday night has left a Palos Veredes man in critical condition in a local hospital, where he was still being treated up until this morning. The car accident, which took place at around 3:14pm, involved the 2006 Ford Mustang of the injured man and a 2008 Volkswagen Golf near the intersection of Skypark Drive and Garnier Street in Torrance.

The driver of the Volkswagen did not sustain any injuries, but both the passenger and driver of the Mustang reportedly suffered injuries following the car accident. The passenger of the Mustang was transported to Torrance Memorial for treatment of minor injuries, and 18-year-old driver was taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, where he remains. Police suspect that one of the drivers may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the car accident.
