Investigators are still trying to determine who had the right of way after a tragic vehicular accident in Anaheim where one driver was ejected. The debilitating accident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. after a black Chrysler Sebring and a green Hyundai Elantra entered an intersection at the same time and collided. The Chrysler Sebring has been traveling eastbound on Broadway and the Hyundai Elantra was heading southbound on Loara Street when the front of the Chrysler struck the passenger side of the Hyundai causing it to spin arouse. The driver of the Hyundai was ejected through the passenger side window upon impact and landed on the sidewalk. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange County and was reputed to have severe head trauma. The female Chrysler driver only suffered moderate injuries but was taken to the hospital as well as a precaution.

An accident on the corner of Harvard Avenue and Center Drive culminated in a head injury after a woman was hit by a Lexus. The car accident occurred just after 10 p.m. shortly after the woman attempted to cross Irvine Center Drive. Before she could get to the other side of the street, she was struck by a Lexus ES 350 sedan that was heading west. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the accident. At press time, the woman was said to have sustained head injury but the severity of the injury was not known.

A female driver crashed into a mobile home at the 2600 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue shortly after 10 a.m. The befuddled motorist said that she had been doing a bit of shopping on the north side of Orangethorpe when she got into her burgundy Honda 4-door to drive away. The woman claims the accelerator got stuck and the vehicle became hard to control. She then traveled through a grassy area, jumped both the north and south side curbs, drove through a brick wall and eventually propelled into a mobile home. The car also broke a gas meter prompting fire and gas company officials to arrive.
No one was evacuated from the mobile home park and the driver only suffered a few minor injuries. A school bus and car accident in Anaheim resulted in one adult and one child being taken to local hospitals. Although the injuries noted were minor, authorities and paramedics at the scene advised medical exams as a precaution because of the violence of the collision. The accident transpired earlier today at the intersection of Broadway and Olive Street after a white Toyota Camry, which was traveling northbound, broadsided an Anaheim City School district bus. A traffic collision that involved three cars brought traffic on the southbound 57 freeway to a slow crawl in Fullerton this morning. The accident happened on Imperial Highway at approximately 7:53 a.m. after a Gray Lexus, a Black Ford expedition and a Honda Element struck one another. A car crash involving a Santa Ana resident occurred in Anaheim and ended in a fatality shortly after 8 p.m. The incident transpired on the eastbound 91 freeway just West of Imperial Highway after a 1999 Ford Explorer suddenly swerved from the No. 2 lane, veered across traffic and crashed into several trees. A police officer was injured in Chula Vista Thursday Morning after being it by a suspected drunk driver. The collision occurred on Fourth Avenue near D Street at approximately 12:25 a.m. and happened shortly after the officer placed an apprehended parolee into the backseat of his car.
The vehicle that hit the patrolman was heading south when it drifted into his path and struck him. The officer’s left foot was run over and the right passenger mirror hit him in the back. A silver PT Cruiser struck a pick up truck and then a pedestrian in front of an Anaheim school early this morning. The accident, which occurred around 6:30 a.m., took place near the intersection of Palm Lane and Laora Street in front of Pine Lane Elementary after the Cruiser struck a parked silver Toyota Tacoma. It glanced off the vehicle before hitting the female pedestrian. The driver, who was also a woman, was not harmed in the crash.
The pedestrian was taken to a local area hospital but her injuries were minor. Authorities believe that impacting the truck slowed the PT Cruiser down enough so that the woman’s injuries were less severe.

A car traveling south near Colorado Street drove off the 5 Freeway near Griffith Park killing both passengers. The solo auto accident happened at 9 P.M. last Thursday night when the car swerved for unknown reasons and subsequently hit a tree. A Pomona jury convicted 20-year-old Robert Canizalez and 23-year-old Martin Ariel Morones on June 29th of gross vehicular manslaughter and second degree murder for the deaths of 41-year-old Dora Groce, her 8-year-old-son Robert and 4 year-old-daughter Catherine, who died after the two men engaged in a street racing incident. Today. they received their sentences, with Robert Canizalez, being given 48 years to life, and Martin Ariel Morones being sentenced to 45 years to life. The two will be eligible for parole after serving more than 20 years.
In October 2007 Canizalez drove a red Ford Mustang while Morones drove a Honda Accord and began racing one another 5:15 and 5:45 p.m. along Parkway Drive. Groce pulled her Nissan Altima out of the Brookside Mobile Country Club onto Elliott Avenue around the same time and her vehicle was broadsided by Canizalez. The victim’s car was pushed 50 feet before it burst into flames killing all inside.
