Skateboarding Accident With Car Kills Preteen Boy in Los Angeles County

A boy, age 12, who was skateboarding  in Paramount, a city in Los Angeles County, was the unfortunate  victim of a fatal skateboarding accident this past week. The young boy has been identified as Isidro Diaz.

Apparently, Diaz was on the road, skateboarding on his stomach, when he was struck by a moving car. He was struck from behind, according to police. Although first aid was attempted, the boy unfortunately died at the scene of the accident.

A driver stopped and was questioned, but up until now, no one has been tickets have been given or arrests made. The skateboarding accident, taking  place on Rosecrans Avenue at approximately 9 pm, is being investigated further by authorities in Lakewood.

A Second Body Identified In Discovery Bay Accident

A second body has been found and identified in the river where a fishing boat sank at the end of last week. The body has been confirmed by the Contra Costa County Sheriff as 37-year-old Key Calvan Soeur, a man from Stockton.

On Friday, a fishing boat occupied by Soeur and another man, his friend Songfram Sangecaroon, sank in the Sacramento San Joaquin delta just outside Discovery Bay. Both men died in the boating accident, and bodies for both have now been found and identified. Eaton Canyon Hiker Falls To His Death

A man in Pasadena reportedly fell to his death during a hike near the Eaton Canyon Nature Center. According to reports, the man killed in the accident was aged 21 at the time of the accident, which occurred while he was hiking with a 17-year-old friend. The man fell nearly 200 feet to his death. Lost Santa Clarita Hiker Found, Suffered Injuries

A reportedly lost hiker was rescued in Santa Clarita Wednesday, nearly four days after he was scheduled to return from the Angeles National Forest in Los Angeles county. The 60-year-old man, Donald Lee, was rescued from a location near the Cienaga Campground east of Golden State Freeway. According to Santa Clarita authorities, Lee was dehydrated at the time of his rescue. Lee also sustained injuries to his knee after being lost.
