Big Rig Causes Major Crash Involving 9 Vehicles in Los Angeles

On New Year’s Eve, a big rig truck containing hazardous materials caused a major accident on Interstate 5 involving nine other cars. 27 people were injured in the crash and many were transported to nearby hospitals via helicopter and ambulance.

The California Highway Patrol shut down the freeway causing major delays. The big rig truck finally stopped after crashing into a center divider. An investigation into the cause of the accident is still underway. It is not clear why the truck driver failed to stop the big rig after the initial impact.

Fatal Crash on Highway 15 – Two Semi-Trucks Crush Passenger Vehicle

This morning, the Southbound I-15 freeway was shut down after a Toyota was crushed in-between two tractor-trailer big-rig trucks. The driver of the Toyota was killed in the accident.

Rio Vista Teen Killed Another Seriously Injured

Last night, on Highway 12, a stretch of highway in California that is known for its serious car and big-rig accidents, a fatal crash left one dead and two critically injured. At around 7:30pm near Lambie Road, a GMC truck failed to stop at a stop sign, t-boning the victims car.

The teenage couple who was impacted by the truck were riding in a Ford Crown Victoria. The boyfriend, who was driving survived, but with serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital in Walnut Creek. The owner of the truck, fled the scene and police are searching for him.

Semi Truck Accident Kills San Jose Woman

Sang Kyung Oh, 38, of San Jose was killed in a tragic car accident on Highway 58 on Sunday night. Kyung Oh, who was a passenger during the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of a horrific accident after a semi truck rear-ended the car she was riding in. The driver of the car, was survived and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to reports from the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol, a semi-truck didn’t break soon enough. The Semi truck rear-ended Kyung Oh’s vehicle and pushed it into the opposite side of traffic. At that time, another semi truck struck the passenger side of the car.

Long Beach Woman is Killed Riding Motorcycle on 10 Freeway – Struck by Large Tractor Trailer Truck

Yesterday, a woman riding a Harley Davidson died on the San Bernardino 10 Freeway when she was struck by a large tractor trailer truck.

Sharon Woodcock, 51, from Long Beach, was riding eastbound on the 10 Freeway near the northbound 215 interchange when she was struck by the tractor- trailer. Police and Paramedics arrived on the scene and Woodcock was pronounced her dead at the scene.
