Los Angeles School Bus Crash Leaves 1 Dead; Passenger Injured

Last Friday, a School Bus carrying no passengers was involved in a fatal accident in Los Angeles. The school bus was not carrying any passengers. The school bus crash occurred between Slauson Avenue and Avalon Boulevard at 6:30am. The school bus collided with a passenger vehicle killing the driver instantly and injuring one passenger. The school bus driver was not injured. The police department has still not determined the cause of the accident and an investigation is ongoing.

Motorcycle Crash in Lancaster Leaves LA Fire Captain Dead

On Saturday, a Los Angeles County Fire Captain was killed in a motorcycle accident Lancaster when his motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck. John Ellis, a fire captain with the Los Angeles fire department was only 55-years-old. According to the Lancaster Sheriffs Department, the pickup truck caused the accident by pulling into an intersection directly in the path that Ellis was travelling.

Tour Bus Crash in Texas; At Least 13 Dead. Vietnamese Martyrs Church

A charter tour bus taking a Vietnamese church group, the Vietnamese Martyrs Church of Houston from Houston to Carthage, Missouri crashed on highway 75 after leaving the highway and going off of a bridge.

The bus was carrying 55 people. 13 people were pronounced dead early Friday morning and 48 were taken to local hospitals to be treated for various levels of injuries. At least five more passengers were hospitalized and in critical condition pending surgery.

Police have reported that the cause of this bus crash may be a tire blowout. Weather and other road conditions are currently being investigated. The driver of the bus is alive and is able to communicate with authorities.

Five years ago, 10 people were killed less than a mile away from this bus accident when a trucker crossed the median.

Nine Firefighters Believed Dead After Helicopter Crash in California

A Sikorsky S-61 helicopter transporting firefighters to a northern California fire crashed leaving nine people dead and four others seriously injured. The crash occurred on Tuesday night just north of Redding near the Shasta Trinity National Forest. The Federation Aviation Administration reported that the crash has occurred for unknown reasons and that both FAA and National Transportation Safety Board investigators were on their way to the scene to being their investigation.

The helicopter involved in the crash is owned and operated by Carson Helicopters. The helicopter that crashed is 30 years old and has been used for fighting fires for 10 years.

Motorcycle Accident Leaves Los Angeles Man Dead in Rosewood

Last Wednesday, a 24-year-old man fatally crashed his 2001 Yamaha motorcycle into a stopped freight truck in Rosewood California. The man, from Los Angeles has not yet been identified was killed after suffering fatal injuries. The freight truck was stopped on 154th Street with its emergency hazard lights on while the truck driver was unloading materials from the truck. For unknown reasons, as the investigation continues, the motorcyclist collided with the truck. He was taken to the Memorial Hospital of Gardena where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Minnesota Charter Jet Crash UPDATE

In an update to last weeks tragic charter jet airplane crash, new developments and information has been released and reported.

1. The NTSB investigation has no focus and will be ongoing in regards to all possible causes of this crash.

2. The Charter Plane carrying six casino and construction executives was on its way to a meeting in relation to a major development project in Atlantic City.

3. On landing in Minnesota, the plane had touched down on the runway, but the pilots attempted to take off once again.

4. The plane hit an antenna about 1000 feet off the runway.
