Charter Plane Crashes in Minnesota; Leaves 8 Dead - East Coast Jets

Earlier today, a charter jet which departed from Atlantic City, New Jersey crashed in Minnesota killing all passengers on board. The chartered plane, a Hawker 800 owned by East Coast Jets, crashed just south of Minneapolis was carrying several casino and construction executives.
In preliminary reports, weather has not been determined to be a factor the National Transportation Safety Board has investigators on the ground. The NTSB has retrieved the cockpit voice recorder and management system.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives today. Five of the eight victims have been identified as: Pilots Clark Keefer and Dan D’Ambrosio, Alan Barnett, Karen Sandland and Marc Rosenberg.

Oxnard Motorcycle Accident Leaves One Dead on the 101 Freeway

Last Friday, Charles Lowe, was killed when he his motorcycle was hit by a tractor trailer truck in Ventura. Lowe, 53-years-old from Oxnard was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the 101 Freeway. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident took place on the Northbound 101 freeway at around 9:50am.
CHP has asked that any witnesses who saw the motorcycle accident on Friday July 25, 2008 on the 101 Freeway call 805-477-4100.

Crash Leaves 7 Dead in California in Delta-Mendota Canal

On Tuesday, a septic tank truck collided with a Ford Explorer SUV sport-utility vehicle killing seven. The crash took place near Modesto, California sending both vehicles into the Delta-Mendota canal.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the accident while the seventh passenger remains missing and is presumed to be dead. United Site Services, Inc., a Massachusetts Corporation owns the septic tank truck and has not released any information.
Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones as a result of this horrific accident. Anytime commercial size vehicles are involved in accidents with passenger vehicles, the end result has a possibility of ending tragically like this very accident. It is important that a thorough and diligent investigation be conducted immediately to determine the causes of this accident.

Deadly Crash on Santa Monica 10 Freeway Leaves 4 Dead

On Sunday morning, a 2007 Lexus sedan heading westbound on the Santa Monica 10 freeway crashed into a cement pillar at the Western Avenue overpass causing a tragic explosion and an intense fire. All four people were killed. It is unclear whether any of the passengers were killed as a result of the impact or whether it was the explosion and subsequent fire that caused their deaths. The cause of the accident is still unknown and the CHP is continuing its investigation.
Horrific accidents such as these have a lasting impact not only on the families who have lost loved ones, but on our communities. A complete and thorough investigation must me made and the proper procedures must immediately be taken to determine the cause(s) of this accident.
