Fisher-Price Toy Recall

August 02, 2007 11:33 AM

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission along with Fisher-Price, Inc. announced yesterday that the toy-maker will be recalling nearly 1 million toys because the surface paints on the toys could contain excessive levels of lead paint that if swallowed or ingested could cause serious harm.

The recall involves toys manufactured by Fisher-Price between April 19, 2007 and July 6, 2007 with a date code between 109-7LF and 187-7LF which would be marked on the product itself.

If you have purchased toys that meet the specifications mentioned above, you should immediately remove the toys from areas where children would have access to and return the product(s) to Fisher-Price.

There are many health risks associated to lead poisoning and you can read about them here.
