An accident was caused Monday afternoon by a weed trimmer that had apparently fallen off of a vehicle. Three cars collided on the southbound 57 freeway south of Katella Avenue, causing severe congestion. The accident blocked several lanes of the highway and prompted a thirty-minute SigAlert. No major injuries were reported.
