After responding to a late night fire in Glendale, two firefighters have been hospitalized with substantial injuries. When the fire sparked up in a local two-story house, firefighters from Burbank and Glendale departments reported to the scene, at around 10:12 pm on Monday. The fire continued for as many as 30 minutes, with 36 firefighters battling the fire throughout.
Unfortunately, significant property damage and injuries resulted from the Glendale fire. The first injured firefighter received third degree burn injuries, and the other suffered from smoke inhalation. Both were escorted for treatment at local hospitals, one for burn injuries treatment at Grossman Burn Center while the other injured was taken to Glendale Adventist. The fire’s resulting property damage was assessed at $100,000 in structural damages.
