A man in Los Angeles fought a fire at an adjacent home using his own garden hose on Friday. Before 8 am, firefighters were alerted of an an ongoing fire on Coney Coad, just north of Cal State Los Angeles. Before firefighters arrived, the man, who lived next door to the blazing home, had already begun his own efforts in fighting the fire. According to reports, the man stood barefoot from his roof with a garden hose to calm the fire. Firefighters arrived and halted the fire before it could spread. The owner of the home was not present when the fire occurred, so no injuries resulted during the blaze.
