Suspect To Be Arraigned After Santa Clarita Accident

The suspect in a drunk driving accident that occurred on Saturday is now in line be arraigned on Tuesday. The 20-year-old, who may have been driving drunk, was involved in the Saturday accident that killed one bicyclist and injured two others. His arraignment is scheduled for today in San Fernando Superior Court, according to a spokeswoman from Los Angeles district attorney.

Marco Antonio Valencia’s involvement in the accident that killed 43-year-old Joe Novothy and injured two others has been deemed a DUI case. According to a witness, Valencia appeared to be driving recklessly and eventually swerved into the aforementioned group of bicyclists, also forcing other vehicles to swerve and evade a possible collision. It has been reported that the bicyclists were all members of the local Santa Clarita cycling club.
