A multiple vehicle accident in Long Beach injured one person and damaged numerous cars Sunday morning. The incident occurred just north of Del Amo Blvd shortly after midnight on Saturday, 4th of July weekend. Six tow trucks were called and an accident victim carried away to the hospital after what was originally believed to be a single vehicle accident. Authorities first thought that a lone car hit the center divider but soon learned the crash involved several vehicles, one of which went over an embankment.
The accident is still under investigation and the sole accident victim is still in the hospital although there is no word on their injuries.
