Big Rig Causes Major Crash Involving 9 Vehicles in Los Angeles

On New Year’s Eve, a big rig truck containing hazardous materials caused a major accident on Interstate 5 involving nine other cars. 27 people were injured in the crash and many were transported to nearby hospitals via helicopter and ambulance.

The California Highway Patrol shut down the freeway causing major delays. The big rig truck finally stopped after crashing into a center divider. An investigation into the cause of the accident is still underway. It is not clear why the truck driver failed to stop the big rig after the initial impact.

Trucking accidents continue to plague our highways. Truck drivers who fail to use caution and follow the law should be held responsible for their negligent driving. If you or a loved one has been seriously injured in an accident involving a big rig truck, it is important that you have a law firm that can fight for you. More than ever before, you need a law firm with the experience and knowledge in dealing with commercial truck and industrial truck accidents and insurance companies.
